The mobile sale flow is built for one thing: getting from “the customer wants this” to “paid and done” as fast as possible. It works the same on phone, tablet, iPad, and desktop — the layout just stretches to fit the screen. Mobile sale screen with menu grid and floating cart pill

Building an order

Open the Sale tab. You’ll see your menu as a grid of cards, with category pills along the top.
ActionHow
Filter by categoryTap a category pill at the top
SearchTap the search bar — it works across names, SKUs, and barcodes
Add an itemTap the item card. A green border appears with quantity controls
Change quantityUse the + and buttons on the selected item
On a phone, a View Cart pill appears at the bottom as soon as you add the first item. Tap it to open the full cart. On a tablet, the cart lives in a side panel on the right and is always visible.

Working offline

If you lose your internet connection, an orange banner appears: “You’re offline — orders will sync when connection returns.” Keep taking orders as normal. Everything saves on the device and uploads automatically the moment you’re back online.

The cart

Tapping View Cart opens the full checkout screen. Cart screen with items, order type, customer, payment, and summary
1

Review the items

Each line shows the quantity, name, modifiers, and any note. Tap a row to change the quantity in a popup. Tap the bin icon to remove the line.
2

Choose the order type

Pick Dine-in, Takeaway, or Delivery. For dine-in, a Table picker appears below — tap to pick from your floor plan.
3

Link a customer (optional)

Search for an existing customer, or type their details to create one on the spot. Leave blank for a walk-in.
4

Choose payment

Pick Cash, Card (POS), or Bank Transfer. For cash, an Amount tendered field appears with a live change calculator — it shows ₦ change due or warns “Insufficient amount” in red.
5

Apply a discount

Enter a discount in the summary section. Subtotal, VAT, and total update instantly.
6

Finish the order

Tap the big button at the bottom — labelled with the total (e.g. “Create Order · ₦5,200”). Or use Save draft to hold the order, or Pay later to send it through without collecting yet.
When the order is placed, you’ll see a green tick, the order number, and quick buttons to View Order, Print receipt (if a printer is connected), and start a New Order.

Scan-to-checkout

Customers browsing your digital menu can build their own cart, then show their phone at the till for a fast ring-up. Tap the QR button on the Sale screen and scan the customer’s cart code. A confirmation sheet shows their order:
  • Yellow warning chips if anything’s changed — “X items no longer available” or “X items with updated prices”
  • Updated price notes under any item whose price has changed since they scanned (“was ₦X when scanned”)
  • Skipped items at the bottom if anything in their cart is no longer available
Tap Add to order to drop the verified items into your cart, then continue checkout as normal. Tap Cancel to back out.
Scan-to-checkout is the fastest way to ring up a customer who already knows what they want. It also cuts down on misheard orders — what’s on their phone is what goes in the cart.

Splitting a bill

Tap Split bill on any order to divide the total between people. Two modes:

Equal split

Set how many people are paying (2 to 10). The screen shows the per-person amount in large branded type. For each person, tap Charge person N to take their share. As each one pays, a green tick replaces the button.

By item

Set how many people are paying. Each line item has chips numbered 1, 2, 3… — tap a chip to assign that item to a person. Under the items, each person’s running total updates as you assign. Tap Charge person N when you’re ready to take their share. After tapping a charge button, a Payment method sheet appears — pick Cash, Card, or Transfer for that person and confirm.
Split bill works alongside the rest of the checkout — the order is still one order in your reports, just paid by multiple people.

Adding items to an existing order

Need to bring something extra to a table that’s already ordered? Open the order, tap Add items, and you’re back in the menu grid. Tap items to add them, then tap Confirm · ₦[subtotal] to merge them into the original order. The kitchen sees the new items and the bill updates.
